Mr.V Vijaykumarr. Known as Vijay or as 伟杰 in the business circles, has vast experience in a number of industries.
Vijay has held management positions with P&L responsibilities for the past 20 years; as the Senior Vice President of Polaris Financial Technology, the Head of Client Services in Convergys HR Management, the Head of Business Development Department in NTUC Income, Country Director (ASEAN & India) in SESAMi Inc, as General Manager in-charge of Sales, Corporate Communications, and Customer Service in Portnet.com Pte Ltd – a wholly-owned subsidiary of PSA Corporation and as General Manager of the Internet Commerce Group in NCS.
Vijay also has had a very successful direct corporate sales experience of solution sales with both Global MNCs and local companies for the past 23 years. In Polaris, He has managed the regions Asia-Pacific, Japan, Middle-East, Australia-New Zealand and Africa, with P&L responsibilities. Vijay has also managed the various sales and marketing channels for NTUC Income. Vijay has also successfully conceptualised and set a third-party Call Centre from scratch in 2004. This call centre, Call Centre One, was awarded the “New Call Centre of the Year 2005” and the “Best Outsourced Call Centre” in 2006 by the Call Centre Association of Singapore.
In SESAMi, Vijay’s focus was on marketing and sales of Business Process Outsourcing services. In Portnet.com, I was responsible for the internationalisation of new services (for the Americas, Asian and European markets) and also he conceptualised, implemented and managed the day-to-day operations of the Customer Service Centre to serve more hundred of customers of PSA Corporation. At the National Computer Systems in Singapore, Vijay’s role of was the running of the P&L centre – The Internet Commerce Group, Vijay also conceptualised, implemented and managed the region’s first outsourced internet payment gateway services and also one of the first ever web-based email service, Letterbox.com, long before Hotmail or Gmail.
Most recently, Vijay was holding the position of Senior Vice President and Head of Business Development for Asia-Pacific, Japan, Middle-East, Australia-New Zealand and Africa, for the BFSI sector in Polaris Financial Services Limited.
Prior to his current role, Eric Cheong is the Sales and Marketing Director of Buzan Centre Asia Ltd and a certified Master Trainer for the Buzan’s iMindMap software. Eric has been in the IT industry mainly the Internet and Telecommunications sectors for more than 13 years. He has undertaken the sales, marketing and channel sales functions in CyberWay, SingTel and Pacific Internet, and has achieved proven sales results and pioneering projects since Internet began its infancy in Singapore. Some of the clients trained by Eric include Oracle Hong Kong, Intel Malaysia, UniSIM, National Heritage Board of Singapore, Singapore Housing Development Board and Hewlett Packard Singapore.
Michael has over past 24 years of working experience in different trade businesses including hotel management, people management, education cum training, cruise industry, travel agency, event management, business planning, business development, account servicing, sales & marketing and strategy management.
Michael has also worked with many international trainers and speakers from “Best In Class” University and Institute from Overseas. Example, WestPoint Academy, Fashion Institute of Technology, Disney Institute, Deming Institute, Juran Institute, UC Berkeley, John Robert Powers, Renmin University and many more. At the same time, adopted many valuable theories and practices to be diligently continue to add considerable knowledge. This journey towards a lifelong knowledge, skills and attitude to enable ourself to steer through uncharted water in business and continue to make a difference to organization large and small still lives in him till today.
